Free Lunches for Children

The Board of School Trustees has approved the participation of the Kokomo School Corporation in the Summer Food Service Program going on now through Friday, July 14. Kokomo Schools Food Services Director Jack Lazar explained that lunches, either hot or cold, will be served free to all children, age 18 and under, at two local open host sites including the Carver Community Center, located at 1030 N. Purdum St. in Kokomo, and Garden Square Apartments, located at 800 E. Hoffer St. in Kokomo. Meals will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, now through July 14 this summer. Build a Better World Summer Reading

The Greentown Public Library, located at 421 S. Harrison St. in Greentown, summer reading theme for 2017 is “Build a Better World” and is running from Monday, June 5 through Friday, July 14. Kyle Onyett Memorial Irun for Irok 5K Color Run

The Irok foundation invites you to join them for their first annual Kyle Onyett Memorial Irun for Irok 5K Color Run. Participants can walk, run, dance and laugh their way through this event, all while being sprayed with color by local Irok families.
