At a meeting on Jan. 16, the Military Foundation recognized and honored several community members and businesses for their contribution to the foundation and veterans in the community.

The following individuals, groups, and businesses were recognized for their work in 2017: The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 6, UAW 685 Veteran’s Committee, American Legion Post 6 Golf Shop, Sam’s Club, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28, Norm Crawford, Capt. Kevin Summers, Professional Firefighter’s of Kokomo Local 396, Kokomo Jackrabbits, Paul Wyman, Judge Brant Parry, Korean War Veterans, Mayor Goodnight’s staff, Aaron Hiatt of Scared Rabbit, Wayne Meyer, IBN Saud Grotto, Inventrek, Jordan Isaacs, Thomas Barclay, and Brittany Daniel Wallace (United States Congressional Delegation), Eric Dungan from Veterans Justice Outreach, journalists Carson Gerber, Devin Zimmerman, and Jenn Goad, Hawg Heaven, VFW Post 1152, Connie Burt, Lt.
