When using water packed tuna for tuna salad, do not drain it. Add about 1/3 cup of uncooked oatmeal, let this sit for a few minutes, and then add your other ingredients. It's the same practice as adding bread crumbs to a meat loaf mixture. It stretches the tuna, as well as adding fiber.

For cleaning your headlights, try toothpaste. Yes, it really works. It's cheaper than the kits they sell. Just put the toothpaste on your lights with a light scrubbing motion. Let sit for about 15 minutes and then rinse dry. It works great!

My mother-in-law is a master at getting out stains and cleaning just about anything. She taught me to use baking soda instead of other cleansers. For stovetops and other surfaces, wet a paper towel (wring it out well) and sprinkle it liberally with the baking soda.

Need to make a lot of boiled eggs? Simply place them on a muffin tin in the oven at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. The muffin tins prevent them from rolling. Then place in cold water and they will peel easily!

Instead of scrubbing a dirty pot or pan, whether it is baked, fried, or burned on, rinse it out, put it on the stove with some water and a very generous amount of baking soda, and boil it for a while. What doesn't wipe right off will come off with minimal scrubbing, using a bit more baking soda like scouring powder.

    Hard to Clean Toilets

Regarding tough-to-clean toilets, an environmentally-safe method is to scrub with Borax on a regular basis. Use a bit of well-moistened pumice stone to scrub away hard water stains at the water level. Borax is available in the detergent aisle and is fairly inexpensive.

    Fresh Tortilla Chips

To keep tortilla chips fresh, I put the opened bag in the freezer, secured with a clothespin. They are always fresh when you need them!

    No More Lost Buttons

I put a drop of super glue on the center of the buttons on my shirts to keep the thread from coming unraveled. It works great!

    Healthy Skin Care

Want a wonderful, cheap way to exfoliate skin. Use baking soda! Wet a washcloth and place a very small amount of baking soda on the cloth and scrub away to a wonderful feeling. This works great as an entire body scrub.

    Natural Flea Prevention

Borax is great for fleas. It is not toxic, and you can sprinkle it on your carpet. Let it sit for a few days and then vacuum it up. You can sprinkle it around the fence of your yard too.

    Cheap Drawer Organizer

I put several shoeboxes into my sock, bra, and panty drawers. It saves me a lot of space, and it looks so neat. I have done the same thing in one or two of my kitchen drawers also.
