State Reps. Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) and Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) on Tuesday at the Statehouse honored Ryan Snoddy for his 20 years at the Northwestern School Corporation as superintendent.

Snoddy began his career at Northwestern as a seventh grade physical education teacher in 1979. Before becoming superintendent, he served as principal of the high school and middle school.  In total, Snoddy’s career with Northwestern has spanned nearly four decades.

“Under Ryan’s leadership, Northwestern schools have continued to keep up with major changes to the education system and innovations in technology,” VanNatter said. “He has accomplished a lot and I hope to see more great work from him in the future.”

The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents recently recognized Snoddy for his two decades in the position.

“Over the years, Ryan has served as a mentor for both students and administrators,” Karickhoff said. “His dedication to our students has been greatly appreciated and has not gone unnoticed. Our community owes him thanks for his commitment to the children of Howard County.”
