Thanks to you, the communities of Miami, Howard and Cass counties, the Grissom Air Museum was able to offer 20,000 learning opportunities this season, providing programs for K-12 students, including 150 instructional hours to more than 1,200 children.

Thanks to you, the State of Indiana and specifically state Rep. Bill Friend and state Sen. Randy Head, for recognizing the historical significance and the tourism potential of the Grissom Air Museum.

Thanks to you, Indiana Bicentennial Commission, for distinguishing the tremendous role that Bunker Hill Naval Air Station, Bunker Hill and Grissom Air Force Base have played in the history of our state.

Thanks to you, our many volunteers, including the airmen of the 434 Air Refueling Wing, the Auburn Wing, Indiana Civil Air Patrol and the Boy Scout troops of Sagamore Council, who have donated more than 2,500 hours this year conducting tours, maintaining our exhibits and grounds, managing our collection of military artifacts and operating our gift shop.

Thanks to all of our donors and museum members who gave generously this year to provide for projects that included detailing aircraft, new fencing, exhibit building upgrades and a shelter for our newest aircraft exhibit.

Thanks to all of you, the Grissom Air Museum will continue to honor the legacy of those men and women who stood on the forward wall of our nation’s peace throughout the Cold War.

And thanks to all those daring young airmen. While they were always prepared for war, peace was their profession.
