IU Southeast second baseman Logan Barnes batted .727 in six games last week to pick up River States Conference’s Baseball Player of the Week for April 10-16.

Barnes, a senior from Kokomo, Ind., racked up 16 hits in 22 at bats last week to lead the Grenadiers to a week of 6-0 overall, 4-0 RSC. He totaled five multi-hit games, doubled six times, walked five times, scored 13 runs, tallied 11 RBIs, and also threw in a triple.

A highlight was going five for six with a double, triple, three runs, and two RBIs versus Ohio Christian to finish off a 4-0 series sweep. He had 12 hits in the series and also totaled four hits in a doubleheader sweep of Oakland City earlier in the week.

Barnes' big week upped his average to .435 to lead the conference. IU Southeast is now 32-9 overall, 19-5 RSC and is receiving votes in the NAIA Baseball Top 25 Poll.
