Northside Youth Baseball League
is holding a fall league for ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 11 year olds. The cost is $30 per child or $250 to bring an entire team. Sign-ups are being held on July 26 and Aug. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northside (2200 N. Main St.). Questions can be directed to Robbie at 765-210-7586 (call or text).

Kokomo Girls Softball League is holding sign-ups for its fall ball instructional league. Registration will be held at Berkley Park (1203 N. Berkley Rd) on July 27 and Aug. 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $25 for 6U and $40 for 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions. The fall league is open to all girls ages 4 to 12. First time players must bring a birth certificate. Questions/concerns can be directed to the league at

PAL Football sign-ups will be held on the following dates: July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and July 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the PAL Field (3520 W. Boulevard). The cost is $55 per child and division is based on the age and grade of the child as of Sept. 1, 2017. Participants must show a birth certificate at registration. Flag football is for children ages 5 to second grade. Junior tackle is grades three and four with Senior tackle for grades five and six. Games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays starting in August and running through October.

The Howard County Thunder girls fast pitch travel softball organization is holding try-outs for their 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U teams Aug. 5 to Aug. 6 at Darrough Chapel Park. 10U is at 9a, 12U at 11a, 14U at 1p, 16U at 3p, and 18U at 5 p.m. Potential players must attend one of the two scheduled dates to be eligible for a team unless prior arrangements have been made. Kokomo High School is accepting orders for All Sports Passes for the 2017-2018 school year. Passes for adults are $75, seniors (ages 65+) $60, and student passes are on sale for $25 through Aug. 18. Student tickets purchased on and after Aug. 19 will be $45. Girls or boys basketball season tickets are $40. Applications for the tickets can be found on the KHS Athletics website

The 2017 Kokomo Lady Kats softball camps will be held Sept. 12-14 at Kokomo High School. This is a change from the previously released dates. The skills camp will be Sept. 12 to 13 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for 11 to 15 year olds and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 6 to 10 year olds. The skills camp will focus on hitting, fielding, and base running. On Sept. 14, there will be an additional camp held for pitchers and catchers. Intermediate/advanced pitchers and catchers will attend from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Beginning pitchers and catchers will be taught fundamentals from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
