golfer Kiah Parrott took the medal at the Wildkat Invitational at Chippendale Golf Course over the weekend. Parrott’s three-under par score set a new school record at 70. The Lady Kat golfers finished the day in second place behind Westfield.

The 12U KBC Lady Knights fast pitch softball team will be hosting their final tryout on Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Greentown (421 S Harrison St, behind the high school). The KBC Lady Knights are a first year organization looking for ‘06 players who are willing to work hard and learn in a fun environment. Russiaville Youth Baseball League will close fall league registration on Aug. 15. Players can register online at RYBL.org.

Kokomo Girls Softball League is holding sign-ups late sign-ups for its fall ball instructional league. Contact Jenn Goad at kokomogirlssoftballleague@gmail.com to arrange a registration time. The cost is $25 for 6U and $40 for 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions. The fall league is open to all girls ages 4-12. First time players must bring a birth certificate.

Southside Little League will hold a fall league. Those interested should contact Keith Griggs at 765-480-0401.

Kokomo High School is accepting orders for All Sports Passes for the 2017-2018 school year. Passes for adults are $75, seniors (ages 65+) $60, and student passes are on sale for $25 through Aug. 18. Student tickets purchased on and after Aug. 19 will be $45. Girls or boys basketball season tickets are $40. Applications for the tickets can be found on the KHS Athletics website https://www.kokomoschools.com/Page/1940.

The 2017 Kokomo Lady Kats softball camps will be held Sept. 12-14 at Kokomo High School. This is a change from the previously released dates. The skills camp will be Sept. 12-13 from 4p-6p for 11-15 year olds and 6p-8p for 6-10 year olds. The skills camp will focus on hitting, fielding, and base running. On Sept. 14, there will be an additional camp held for pitchers and catchers. Intermediate/advanced pitchers and catchers will attend from 4p-5:30p. Beginning pitchers and catchers will be taught fundamentals from 5:30p-7p.

Eastern High School is selling tickets for the Lucas Oil Stadium Showcase on Sept. 16. The Comet football team will face Carroll at 2:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are available in the Eastern Athletic Office. Adults and students at $12 and children under 12 are $8. Tickets will be available at the gate for $15.
